Teaching Artist at Orlando Family Stage

Tommy Novak currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Roosevelt University within the Chicago College of the Performing Arts, a position held since August 2023. In addition, Tommy is actively involved in various roles in the theater scene, including Assistant Director at Mercury Theater Chicago and Teaching Artist at THE PARAMOUNT THEATRE SCHOOL OF STAGE AND SCREEN, where instruction focuses on acting for middle and high school students. With experience as a Voice Teacher at The Voice Lab, Inc., and a long-standing Adjunct Professor at Carthage College, Tommy specializes in musical theater and vocal pedagogy. Past roles include directing and teaching in settings such as Orlando Repertory Theatre and Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre. Tommy holds a Master’s degree in Music Theater Vocal Pedagogy and a degree in Theatre Performance & Direction from Carthage College.
