Melanie Morel-Ferris

Melanie Morel-Ferris serves as Vice President of Finance at Orna Therapeutics since May 2024, following a brief tenure in the same role at ReNAgade Therapeutics, which was acquired by Orna. Previously, Melanie held leadership positions at Relay Therapeutics, Akcea Therapeutics, InVivo Therapeutics, Astrodyne TDI, and ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, encompassing roles such as Vice President of Accounting and Chief Accounting Officer. Throughout these positions, Melanie has demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, SEC compliance, internal controls, budgeting, and the transformation of organizations from R&D to commercial operations. Melanie's early career included significant experience at Deloitte & Touche, focusing on audits and internal controls for a diverse range of clients. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Economics from Assumption University.
