Manu J Plamootil has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2004 as an Assistant Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, where their key accomplishments and responsibilities included preparation of design documents, coding in Java and PL/SQL, and unit testing preparation and execution. In 2010, they moved to Oracle as a Senior Applications Engineer, where they were a member of the design team for the upgraded product in an entirely new platform, and was responsible for the preparation of AS-IS technical documents, as well as the gap analysis report and migration plan. In 2011, they took on the role of Senior Software Engineer at Mobile Sportsbook Technology, where they were responsible for the overall architecture and entire technical delivery, as well as taking on additional responsibility of functional analysis and product management. In 2012, they became Senior Technical Architect at IBS Software, where they were responsible for the conceptualisation of the Neo platform, and undertook the feasibility analysis. Finally, in 2014, they moved to Visual IQ, Inc. as a Technical Architect, where their key accomplishments and responsibilities included responsible for the overall architecture and entire technical delivery, evaluating and identifying the technology stack, and defining the technology roadmap. In 2018, they became Vice President of Engineering and then Senior Director of Engineering at OrthoFX.

Manu J Plamootil has an extensive education history. Manu started their educational journey in 1992 at St Michael's Anglo Indian Boys High School, Kannur, where they completed their Xth in English, Science, and Mathematics. Manu then attended St Berchmans' College Changanacherry from 1995 to 1997. In 1998, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Earthinators Climate School. From 2001 to 2004, they attended National Institute of Technology Calicut. Finally, they obtained a Bachelor of Laws in Law from Cochin University of Science and Technology in 2016.
