Mohammad R. has a diverse work experience in the medical device and software engineering fields. In 2022, they founded QualDevX Consulting, a product development consulting firm providing services related to software as a medical device and medical devices in general for US markets. From 2018-2022, Mohammad worked as a Product Development Engineering Consultant at OrthoGrid Systems, Inc. where they created and managed schedules for Total Hip Arthroplasty and Trauma application platforms, captured user needs and elicited product requirements, and distilled product and business needs into requirements that can be understood and implemented by the software development team. In 2017, they worked as an Engineering Intern-Medical Devices at Piper Access/Biomerics, where they determined the performance of a predicate intra-osseous (IO) drill, verified that the IO drill and its accessories meet design specification requirements, and ensured that product specifications were controlled and up to date. From 2012-2015, Mohammad worked as a Nutrition Care Services Inpatient Representative at the University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics, where they worked with nurses and dietitians to create dietary plans for patients, performed administrative tasks in the office, and won a support services excellence award. During their time at the University of Utah, they also participated in a Design Project - Curriculum Based, where they designed and prototyped a portable diagnostic device on a limited budget of $240, established design input requirements and created quantifiable specifications for the device, and calibrated a force sensor for the device. Finally, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant (Thesis Project) at the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute, where they demonstrated the preliminary usefulness of an MRI sequence to target structures in the brain.
