Amanda Ylitalo has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Amanda began their career as a Law Clerk at Cooper & Scully, P.C. in 2008. In 2010, they joined EXCO Resources, Inc. as a Land Compliance professional and later became a Board of Directors member and Treasurer at Legal Hospice of Texas, a nonprofit law firm. In 2013, Amanda served as a Senior Analyst at Eland Energy before taking on the role of Landman at Energy. Amanda then worked as a Land Manager and Administration professional at Mesa Gulf Coast in 2014. From 2015, they were employed by Oryx Oilfield Services, LLC as the Director of Business Development, Legal and Administration. Currently, Amanda holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Law at UNT Dallas College of Law, which they started in 2017. Additionally, they have operated their own business providing LSAT and Law School Admissions Counseling, Tutoring, and Classes since 2008.
Amanda Ylitalo obtained their Juris Doctor (JD) degree from SMU Dedman School of Law, where they studied law from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Studies at Texas A&M University between 1994 and 1998. Amanda's education journey began at Pine Tree High School, where they completed their high school education from 1990 to 1994.
