Sonia Gutiérrez Bezón

Sonia Gutiérrez Bezón has over 20 years of experience in the clinical research field. Their most recent position was as the Director of Clinical Operations at Oryzon. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Director of Clinical Research Operations Management at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Sonia also had a long tenure at Lundbeck where they held several roles, including Regional Study Advisor, Clinical Research Manager, and Manager of the Clinical Investigation Unit. During their time at Lundbeck, they successfully conducted numerous clinical trials and established strong networks of investigators in neurology and psychiatry.

Earlier in their career, Sonia worked at Sanofi-Synthelabo as a Clinical Research Manager, leading international clinical studies in oncology and achieving the marketing authorization of a new drug. Sonia also worked as a Clinical Research Associate at both Pharmacia & Upjohn and Synthelabo, where they were responsible for the implementation and oversight of clinical trials.

Sonia began their career as a Grant Holder at the Medical Department of Asta Medica. Overall, they have a wealth of experience in the clinical research field and a proven track record of successfully managing and conducting clinical trials.

From 1985 to 1990, they attended the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, where they obtained a degree in Pharmacy.

From 1990 to 1992, they attended the University of Alcalá de Henares and earned a grade in Pharmacology.

In 1992 to 1993, they pursued a Master's in Sciences at the University of Navarra, specializing in R+D of Drugs.

From 1996 to 1999, they pursued post-graduate training in Biostatistics at the Universidad Autónoma Barcelona.

In 2003 to 2004, they completed the Lundbeck Management Development Program at the Lundbeck Development Program.

In 2007, they underwent post-graduate training in Management of People and Direction of Teams at Esade.

From 2011 to 2012, they pursued the Programa de Desarrollo Directivo (PDD) at UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), focusing on Business Administration and Management, General.

In 2013, they completed the High-Performance Leadership - LUNAR programme at H. Lundbeck A/S. Snekkersten, Comwell (Copenhagen), specializing in Directive Development Programme.
