Martin McCloud has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Martin started their career as a Software Engineer at BT, where they worked on developing a graphical interface using Visual Basic. Martin then joined Unisys as a Software Engineer, where they developed software for major clients in the insurance industry and worked as a System Designer and Web Developer.

Afterwards, Martin worked at Phase Forward as a Customer Support Engineer, providing tier II product support for a Japan-based clinical trial product. Martin replicated and investigated issues to identify root causes and communicated with customers and the Japan-based team in Japanese. Martin then transitioned to Oracle Health Sciences GBU following Oracle's acquisition of Phase Forward. Martin worked as a Product Support Engineer and later as a Senior Tier II Product Support Engineer, troubleshooting trial data web service for global customers. Martin replicated customer systems and investigated system and log data to identify and resolve issues.

Most recently, Martin has been working at Osirium as a Lead Support Engineer. Martin'sresponsibilities include providing support for existing clients and evaluation customers, escalating critical support cases to development, and coordinating site visits with the customer and development team when necessary.

Before their career in the technology industry, Martin worked as an Assistant Language Teacher on Japan's government-sponsored JET Programme, where they taught English to junior and senior high school students and coordinated with Japanese Teachers of English (JTEs) to plan lessons and activities.

Martin McCloud attended Wilberforce College from 1994 to 1996, where they studied Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Computing. Martin then went on to enroll at Durham University from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science. In 2004, Martin McCloud became a Java Certified Programmer through Sun Microsystems.
