John Morstad

John Morstad has been involved in the finance and operations side of education for most of their working life. John began as a soccer referee for the U.S. Soccer Federation, a position they held for 36 years. John then became the Director of Business Services for Orono Public Schools, where they oversaw the district's finances for 5 years. Morstad then took a position as the Controller for Eden Prairie School District, where they were responsible for budgeting, enrollment, cash flow, and auditing. After 1 year in that role, they became the HR & Finance Manager for PACT Charter School, where they managed the school's finances and human resources for 1 year. John then left to start their own company, JSM Enterprises, Inc., which they ran for 5 years before returning to the education sector as the Executive Director of Finance and Operations for Osseo Area Schools, a position they have held for 9 months.

John Morstad has a B.A from Concordia College and a diploma from Minnehaha Academy. John is also a certified administrator of school finance and operations and has a MASBO certification.
