Katie Roorda

Katie Roorda is a senior medical illustrator at Osso VR. Katie has also worked as a biological illustrator for the National Aquarium and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Katie has a passion for accuracy and effectiveness in their work, and they have completed an oral presentation to communicate the goals, background, methods, results, and conclusion of their thesis to a lay audience. Katie also interned as a medical illustrator at Arthrex, and they currently freelance as a medical illustrator and animator.

Katie Roorda holds a Master of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Medical & Biological Illustration, as well as a Bachelor's of Arts from Iowa State University - College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Biological and Pre-Medical Illustration.

Katie Roorda reports to Daniel Hermansen, Director of Medical Illustration. Katie Roorda works with Darcy Lewis - Associate Medical Illustrator, Lauren Rakes - Senior Medical Illustrator, and Rebecca Bruehl - Associate Medical Illustrator.
