Kyana Afshar

Kyana Afshar is an Associate Medical Illustrator at Osso VR. Kyana previously worked as a Graduate Assistant at The University of Georgia from June 2019 to June 2020, where they worked one-on-one with clients to create visual solutions and learned new 3D and render software. Kyana also worked with professors from the Veterinary school at UGA to create online learning content. Prior to that, they were a Graduate Student of Medical Illustration at Augusta University from August 2017 to June 2019. Before that, they worked as a Medical Assistant at Dermatology from June 2014 to March 2017, where they gathered patient history, symptoms, and circumstances of present condition, scribed notes for the visit, impression of condition, plan of treatment, assisted during surgical appointments, and handled indirect care and scheduling of patients. Kyana also interned at Alzheimer's Association from August 2013 to May 2014 and was a Language Assistant at University of Virginia from August 2012 to May 2014. Additionally, they were an Undergraduate Lab Assistant at UVA Health System from August 2012 to May 2013.

Kyana Afshar has a Master of Science from Augusta University in Medical Illustration/Medical Illustrator and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia in Biochemistry.

They are on a team with Daniel Hermansen - Director of Medical Illustration, Andre Broom - Associate Organic Artist, and Nick Galaxy - Senior Technical Artist. Kyana Afshar reports to Margaret Soltis, Creative Director.
