Clarize Marais has a diverse range of work experience in the marketing field. Clarize most recently worked at Ostrom as a Performance Marketing Lead starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were the Head of Marketing at Flow Lab from July 2021 to February 2022, where they played a key role in achieving 15x growth and profitability across multiple countries. Outside of DCMN, Clarize worked as a Freelance NGO Marketing Consultant from January 2021 to May 2021, providing marketing expertise to non-governmental organizations. Prior to DCMN, they worked at trivago as an International Brand Marketing Associate from February 2016 to May 2017, where they handled offline marketing campaigns and TV media buying in different countries, while also analyzing performance data.

Clarize Marais attended Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof from 2006 to 2010, where they earned their National Senior Certificate. Their field of study included Mathematics, English, French, Afrikaans, Design Art, History, and Life Orientation. Clarize then enrolled at Stellenbosch University from 2011 to 2013 and Sciences Po in 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics. In 2014, Clarize joined UPF Barcelona School of Management for their Master of Science (MSc) in Marketing Management. Finally, in 2018, they completed a Digital Marketing Nanodegree at Udacity, focusing on SEM, SEO, Social Media, Email, and Display Marketing.
