Senior Development Engineer at OTAQ

Gary English has a wealth of experience in the aviation industry, having worked in the field since 2002. From 2002 to 2005, they worked with various aviation companies throughout Europe as an Aircraft Electrician, completing specialist temporary contracts involving rewiring and cable assembly installations. In 2005, they began working with Airbus as an Aircraft Electrician, where they were promoted to Team Leader for a two-month period. From 2008 to 2009, they worked with Heli-One and Marshall Aerospace as an Aircraft Electrician, carrying out B Checks for Superpuma 1. 2 helicopters and major refits to C-130 aircraft respectively. From 2010 to 2012, they worked with Link Cable Assemblies Ltd as a Manufacturing Engineer and with Sanmina SCI as a Product Design Engineer. In 2021, they began working with JFD Global as a Projects Engineer, and in 2022 they began working with OTAQ Group as a Senior Development Engineer, providing production and engineering support for the connector manufacturing facility in Ulverston.

Gary English has a varied educational history. Gary attended Greenock Academy from 1993 to 1997 and then went on to RAF Cosford from 1997 to 1999 to study Aircraft Engineering Electrical. In 2010, they attended Motherwell College and obtained an HNC in Computer Aided Design & Draughting. In 2018, they attended The Open University and obtained an HNC in Computing & IT.
