Serkan Y.

Serkan Y. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Serkan currently holds the position of Global Director - OT Security Services at OTIFYD since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal OT Security Consultant at Applied Risk B.V from April 2018 to October 2022.

From February 2007 to April 2021, Serkan was the Director and Principal OT Security Consultant at Serk Solutions Limited. Before that, they served as a Senior OT Security Consultant at GSK from March 2016 to March 2020.

Serkan also had roles at Shell, where they worked both as a Process Control Domain (PCD) IT Security Technical Expert from August 2015 to February 2016, and as a Process Control Domain IT Security Technical Expert (EMEA) from June 2012 to August 2015.

Earlier in their career, they worked as a Lead DCS Engineer at Honeywell (Jazan Refinery Project/Shell Stanlow Demin Upgrade Project) from November 2011 to June 2012, and as a Senior Control Systems Engineer at Bechtel Corporation (BP West Nile Delta Project - Egypt) from June 2011 to October 2011.

Their earlier experiences also include roles at Honeywell as a DCS Controls Lead Engineer (Pearl GTL - Qatar) from November 2006 to April 2011, and as a Systems Integration Engineer (Wembley National Stadium) from January 2006 to December 2006.

Serkan's career started at Pfizer, where they worked as a Senior Applications Engineer from October 2003 to December 2005. Prior to that, they were a Software Design Engineer at Avaya from October 2001 to October 2003.

Serkan Y. attended the University of Central England Birmingham from 1995 to 1998, where they studied Electrical Engineering & Process Control. Serkan did not obtain a degree during this time. Additionally, in May 2023, Serkan Y. obtained a certification as a Nozomi Networks Certified Engineer from Nozomi Networks.
