Jordan Yin has worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa since September 2021. In this role, they have been conducting research on therapeutic methods for treating chronic joint diseases, specifically osteoarthritis. Their responsibilities include developing biomaterials and drug delivery strategies for cartilage tissue engineering, synthesizing and characterizing nanoparticles as drug carriers, and studying the interaction between poly-phosphate based nanoparticles and cartilage cells.
In addition, Jordan has also worked at the City of Ottawa since January 2020, where they have held various roles. These roles include Head Instructor/Lifeguard, Aquatics Supervisor, Lifeguard and Aquatic/Advanced Instructor, Customer Service Representative, and Wading Pool Supervisor.
Furthermore, Jordan has worked as an Advanced Instructor/Trainer at Lifesaving Society Ontario since December 2021.

From 2023 to 2025, Jordan studied at the University of Ottawa and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Translational and Molecular Medicine. The program was in the HBSc/MSc Stream.
Prior to that, from 2021 to 2023, Jordan also attended the University of Ottawa and completed an Honours Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Sciences, with a general focus.
Before attending university, Jordan graduated from Longfields-Davidson Heights Secondary School in an unspecified field of study and obtained an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) in 2021.
In addition to formal education, Jordan has obtained several certifications.
