Pino Buffone currently serves as the Director of Education for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) since August 2023, following a tenure in the same role at the Renfrew County District School Board from February 2017 to August 2023. Pino Buffone's extensive experience with the OCDSB spans back to September 2003, where various roles included Superintendent of Instruction, Superintendent of Curriculum, and Principal of Charles H. Hulse Public School. In addition to educational leadership, Pino Buffone held positions within the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) and began a career as a classroom teacher in both the Ottawa-Carleton and Western Quebec school boards. Pino Buffone's academic achievements include a Doctor of Education from Western University and multiple degrees from Queen's University, the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, McGill University, and Bell High School.
