Kevin Merrill

Kevin Merrill has a diverse range of work experience in the field of marketing and communications. Kevin is currently the Director of Marketing and Communications at Maumee Valley Country Day School. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Communications at Ottawa Hills Local Schools, where they were responsible for managing various aspects of the communications department and publishing an informational magazine that contributed to fundraising success. Kevin also worked as a Client Project Manager at The HCI Group, where they demonstrated exceptional leadership and successfully managed cross-departmental teams. Before that, they held the role of IT Training Manager at ProMedica, where they developed and implemented marketing and communications strategies for a company-wide software project. Additionally, they served as the Director of Communications at the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources & Environment, where they oversaw marketing, public relations, events, and editorial strategies. At Eastern Michigan University, they worked as a Senior Publications Editor and was involved in creating various collateral to promote alumni awareness and community engagement.

Kevin Merrill began their education in 1981 at Eastern Michigan University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature/Letters. Kevin successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 1986.

In that same year, Kevin went on to attend Columbia University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Journalism. Kevin concluded their studies at Columbia in 1987.

Later on, Kevin returned to Eastern Michigan University, this time to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organizational Leadership. Kevin began their PhD studies in 2004 and continued until 2018 when they completed their doctoral degree.

It is worth noting that there is also mention of Kevin pursuing a second PhD in Organizational Leadership at Eastern Michigan University. However, no specific start or end dates for this additional degree program are provided.
