Neil McCartan

Neil McCartan has extensive work experience in various roles. Neil has recently worked as an Operations Manager at Our Future Health UK, where they were responsible for program operations. Prior to this, Neil worked at University College London, where they held multiple positions, including Research Manager, Clinical Project Manager, and Associate Operations Manager. In these roles, they managed clinical trials, coordinated studies, and oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Surgical & Interventional Trials Unit. Neil also has experience working at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where they served as a Clinical Trial Coordinator, Data Manager, and MDT Coordinator. Additionally, Neil gained managerial experience as an Assistant Manager at JMC Mobile Ltd, a telecommunications company. Before this role, they had a diverse range of work experiences while traveling in Australia, including carpentry, agricultural work, events management, and demolition.

Neil McCartan attended Abbey Grammar Christian Brothers School in Newry from 1995 to 2002. Neil completed their A Levels with a focus on English, History, and Sociology.

From 2014 to 2018, Neil pursued higher education at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London. During this time, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Clinical Trials with distinction. Their field of study was in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science/Research and Allied Professions.
