Rob Amos

Rob Amos is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in developing automated systems and software solutions within the life sciences sector. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Genomics plc, Rob focuses on creating an automated system for calculating polygenic risk scores based on genetic data. Previously, Rob held leadership positions at Sharp Life Science (EU) Limited and Sharp Laboratories of Europe, playing pivotal roles in the development and commercialization of microfluidics technologies and collaborative projects with business partners. Rob began a career at Tessella as an Analyst Programmer, contributing to web applications for various engineering domains, and started in the field as a Junior Assistant Scientist at GlaxoWellcome. Rob holds a DPhil in Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of Oxford, complemented by a BA in Physiological Sciences and additional qualifications from The Open University and Saïd Business School.
