Christopher Hughes

Christopher Hughes has a strong background in the engineering field with a focus on automotive electrification. Christopher is currently working as the Sr Director and Chief Engineering at Our Next Energy (ONE) since December 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at Samsung SDI America Inc., including Director of Engineering and Senior Manager of Product Development. Christopher managed a cross-functional team of engineers and developed production batteries for a top-selling PHEV. Before that, they worked at Magna Steyr Fuel and Battery Systems as a Lead Integration Engineer and at Magna E-Car Systems as a Systems Engineer. Overall, Christopher Hughes has extensive experience in product development, integration, and systems engineering in the automotive industry.

Christopher Hughes attended the University of Toronto from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
