Francesco Balestrieri

Francesco Balestrieri is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in leading teams and managing product development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at ŌURA since December 2024, Francesco previously held the position of Engineering Manager for Mobile Maps SDK at Mapbox, overseeing the development of mobile mapping solutions. Prior to that, at Basemark, Francesco was Head of Product Development, where notable products such as Basemark GPU and the Basemark Automotive Test Suite were released. Francesco's career includes significant roles at Intel Corporation, where a high-performance Linux graphics driver team was managed, and Nokia, where several built-in applications for the Nokia N9 smartphone were developed. Beginning a career trajectory as a Trainee at CSELT, Francesco holds an MSc from King's College London and a degree in Information Science Engineering from Università di Pisa.
