Lisa Harvey-Smith

Lisa Harvey-Smith is the Chief Executive Officer of Out For Australia since June 2024, and holds multiple academic positions at UNSW, including Professor of Practice and Australian Government Women in STEM Ambassador. Additional roles include Adjunct Associate Professor at UNSW and Western Sydney University, Advisory Board Member at Questacon, and Member of the Advisory Board for the Australian Space Agency. Lisa has authored books such as ‘When Galaxies Collide’ and ‘Under the Stars: Astrophysics for Bedtime’, with previous experience at CSIRO as a Research Group Leader and Research Astronomer, and as a TV Presenter for programs like Stargazing Live. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Astrophysics from The University of Manchester and various governance courses from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
