Senior Software Engineer, Sensors And Integration at Outrider

Stephen DeRosa has held various engineering roles over the past five years. In 2020, they were a Software Engineer and AV Simulation Software Test Engineer for Outrider. In 2019, they were a Robotics Simulation Engineer for NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, where they worked with a small team to develop and distribute dockerized Gazebo simulations for the Space Robotics Challenge Phase 2, and developed a simulation model for the 2023 VIPER Lunar Rover. In 2018, they were a Systems Engineering Intern for UTC Aerospace Systems, where they worked to automate testing for fluid systems by designing and implementing a robust tests set up, and writing software to collect and process data. In 2017, they were a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for UTC Aerospace Systems, where they wrote and sought out test plans and procedures for commercial space exploration capsule, edited procedure schematics for the testing of different commercial space products, and worked to prove products met specifications. From 2015 to 2018, Stephen was a Tutor and Robotics Researcher at the University of Hartford.

Stephen DeRosa received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hartford between 2015 and 2019.
