Robin Thurston

Robin Thurston is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the active lifestyle and finance sectors. Currently serving as Founder and CEO of Outside since February 2021, Robin leads a mission to inspire participation in sports and activities. Prior to this role, Robin was Chief Executive Officer at Pocket Outdoor Media, driving engagement in endurance sports, and at Helix, a personal genomics startup focused on empowerment through DNA. At Under Armour, Robin held positions as EVP and SVP of Chief Digital Officer, where contributions significantly transformed athlete apparel and equipment. Robin co-founded MapMyFitness, creating a leading digital fitness community, and also held key leadership positions in investment management at Wellington Management and Reuters. Robin Thurston holds a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Colorado Denver.
