Nicolas LI

Head of Engineering at OVRSEA

Nicolas Li's work experience begins with an internship at Gendarmerie Nationale in 2013, where they participated in various missions that exposed him to the challenges of poverty and deprivation in French society. This experience had a profound impact on their outlook on society.

In 2015, Nicolas had a summer internship at Airbus Defence and Space, where they conducted a benchmark of methods for microvibration identification, with a focus on predicting disturbance forces and torques caused by rotating reaction wheels.

From 2016 to 2016, Nicolas worked as a visiting student at The University of Chicago - The Nagel group, where they conducted experimental research on the Saffman Taylor instability, specifically focusing on the phenomena of displacing a fluid by another less viscous fluid and the growth of fingers from the unstable interface.

In 2018, Nicolas joined Insolight as an intern, where they collected and analyzed data generated by high-efficiency solar panels, and implemented improvements based on the observations.

Since 2019, Nicolas has been working at OVRSEA, starting as a Data Analyst Intern, where they contributed to the development of an online platform for shipping goods between countries. Nicolas then became a Software Engineer, working on process and pricing automation, cloud infrastructure, and implementing ETL pipelines and prediction models. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Engineering and is responsible for leading the engineering team at OVRSEA.

Throughout their work experience, Nicolas Li has gained skills in data analysis, experimental research, engineering management, and software development.

Nicolas Li started their education at Lycée La Providence from 2008 to 2011, where they earned their Baccalauréat S. Nicolas then attended Lycée Sainte-Geneviève from 2011 to 2013, specializing in Physics & Maths. In 2013, they joined École Polytechnique and completed the Ingénieur Polytechnicien Program in Mechanical Engineering, which lasted until 2017. In 2016, they pursued their studies further and obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) in 2018.
