Payman Nejati

Payman Nejati is the Co-Founder and CEO of Ownit. Payman was previously the Co-Founder and CRO of Anycart, a mission-driven company offering online groceries without the markups. Anycart started as one of nine startups in the 2019 Amazon Alexa accelerator, raised 3 funding rounds in just 14 months and onboarded 15 national retailer banners including Amazon, Whole Foods Market, Safeway-Albertsons, and Ahold-Delhaize to serve consumers in 3,400+ cities.

Prior to Anycart, Payman was the Founder and CEO of Handpick, a food technology company that was acquired by Amazon.com. Payman established and ran the company, which aggregated 1 billion social media food posts and 2 million recipes as one of the largest databases of food. Payman recruited and managed a cross-border team of 30+ raising $6 million in funding.

Payman has also founded and been the CEO of Pitchen and MoveUp. Payman is a successful entrepreneur with a track record of building companies from the ground up. Payman is passionate about their work and is always looking for ways to innovate and improve the products and services their companies offer.

Payman Nejati has a Master's in Business Administration from Université catholique de Louvain, a Master's in Politics & Diplomacy from Fudan University, and a Bachelor's in Management & Economics from Université Saint-Louis - Bruxelles. Payman also participated in international exchange programs at the University of Macau and the University of Montevallo.
