Joseph Hartvigsen is an experienced executive and engineer with a robust background in energy and engineering sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at OxEon Energy since January 2017, Joseph spearheads the development and manufacturing of solid oxide electrolysis systems for hydrogen and synthetic fuel production. Previously, Joseph held the position of Vice President of Engineering at OxEon. As the owner of Hartvigsen-Hydro since January 1999, Joseph specializes in custom turbine solutions ranging from 50W to 500kW. Joseph's earlier career includes significant roles such as Senior Engineer for SOFC and Hydrogen Programs at Ceramatec, Inc., Specialist Engineer at Boeing focusing on hypersonic aircraft, and Engineer at ATK with experience in solid rocket motor analysis. Joseph began career in water treatment as a Treatment Plant Operator for the Central Utah Water Conservancy District. Holding both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University and Brigham Young University, respectively, Joseph has cultivated a strong foundation in engineering principles and practices throughout a career spanning over four decades.
