Wasswa Godfrey has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and organizations. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Programme Development and Research Adviser for the Center for Democracy and Human Rights in Sierra Leone, where they provided technical support, conducted program reviews, and facilitated training programs. In 2010, they became the Regional Coordinator for the Democracy Monitoring Group in Uganda, where they were responsible for project proposals, training programs, and monitoring electoral processes. Wasswa then worked as a Fundraising Officer for Action Aid International Tanzania and a Programme Development and Fundraising Officer for Action Aid International Sierra Leone, where they developed fundraising strategies, implemented partnership policies, and communicated with high-value donors. In 2013, Godfrey became a Programme Development Manager for March Consultancy Ltd, conducting trainings, developing project proposals, and conducting research. Wasswa currently holds the position of Business Development and Reporting Lead at Oxfam.
Wasswa Godfrey has a Masters degree in Project Management from Uganda Management Institute, earned between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics, History, and Philosophy from Makerere University, completed between 1999 and 2002. Wasswa also holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences with a focus on Economics and Philosophy from the same institution. Additionally, Wasswa has pursued a Masters in Management Studies with a specialization in project planning and management from Uganda Management Institute, although specific dates are unknown.
