George Pamenter is a PhD Researcher at University College London since September 2021, focusing on enhancing chromatographic separation of viral vectors for Cell and Gene Therapy applications, specifically investigating lentiviral vector binding behavior during chromatography. Simultaneously, George works with Oxford Biomedica as a PhD Researcher, aiming to understand binding mechanisms in anion-exchange chromatography for lentiviral vectors. Previously, George served as a Downstream Process R&D Scientist, contributing to the purification of lentiviral vectors and participated in the rapid downstream process development of the COVID-19 adenovirus vaccine candidate at Oxford/AstraZeneca. Earlier experience includes a role as a Biochemical Process Engineer at Pfizer and as an Undergraduate Process Engineer at Centrica Energy. George holds a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemical Engineering at UCL, expected to complete in September 2025.
