Thomas Evans

Thomas Evans is a highly experienced principal computational biologist currently at Oxford Biomedica since August 2017, where previous roles included senior computational biologist and automation and development scientist. Prior to this position, Thomas served as a development scientist at Orthox from August 2013 to July 2017, focusing on the research and development of novel biomaterials for bone and cartilage applications. Earlier career experience includes a role as Scientist II at Merck Millipore, where responsibilities encompassed developing and validating cell-based assays, as well as mentoring new employees. Thomas also worked as a sales executive and conducted social science research projects before pursuing an extensive educational background, earning a BSc in Computer Science & Statistics from The Open University, an MSc in Structural Molecular Biology from Birkbeck, University of London, and an MSc in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Immunohaematology from the University of Wales, Cardiff.
