James Reid

Head Of Data Analysis at Oxford Gene Technology

James Reid has a diverse work experience in the field of computational biology and bioinformatics. James worked at Oxford Gene Technology as the Head of Data Analysis, where they were involved in pipeline development and algorithm implementation for structural variation detection. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Computational Biologist at the same company, where they worked on biomarker development and algorithm/software development for non-invasive prenatal testing.

In addition, James has worked as an external expert for the European Commission, a bioinformatics consultant as a self-employed individual, and as a researcher at Fondazione IFOM Istituto FIRC di Oncologia Molecolare and Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Milano. James also held a postdoctoral fellow position at Laboratorio Nazionale Consorzio Interuniversitario Biotecnologie (LNCIB), AREA Science Park, Trieste.

Early in their career, James gained experience as a trainee and consultant at ESRIN European Space Agency (ESA). Overall, they have demonstrated expertise in genetic data analysis, molecular modeling, and algorithm development.

James Reid's education history is as follows:

From 2021 to 2021, James Reid attended Hult Ashridge and completed a management course.

From 1997 to 2001, James Reid studied at King's College London and obtained a Ph.D in Computer Science.

From 1998 to 2000, James Reid also pursued a Ph.D. in computer science at Università degli Studi di Padova.

In 1995 and 1996, James Reid attended King's College London and received an M.Sc in Advanced Computing.

From 1991 to 1994, James Reid studied Mathematics at the University of Bristol and graduated with a B.Sc. Hons degree.

Lastly, from 1985 to 1991, James Reid attended Lycée Chateaubriand in Rome and completed their Baccalauréat with a focus on Mathematics and Physics.
