Ben Unett CEng has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Ben started their career at CareFusion in 2006, where they worked as a Manufacturing Engineer and Project Engineer, introducing new products to the production environment and contributing to productivity improvements through Lean Six Sigma initiatives. In 2012, they joined Vertu as a Senior Production Engineer, playing a key role in implementing the Camstar MES system and supporting the production of the Vertu Ti. Since 2015, Ben has been working at Oxford Instruments, where they have held various roles, including Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing Excellence Leader, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Value Stream Manager - Proteox, and currently as the Operations Strategic Development Lead. Their experience at Oxford Instruments encompasses managing manufacturing operations, driving manufacturing excellence, and leading strategic development efforts.
Ben Unett CEng has a strong education background in engineering. Ben obtained a BEng in Mechanical Engineering with a first-class degree from the University of Portsmouth, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Ben then continued their education at Kingston University, earning an MSc in Mechanical Engineering with commendation from 2007 to 2009. Prior to their university studies, Ben attended Waingels Copse School from 1995 to 2002. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from SA Partners and as a Chartered Engineer from The Institution of Engineering and Technology, obtained in 2018 and 2014 respectively.
