Amber Wright has extensive work experience in the fields of bioinformatics and programming. Amber began their career in 2011 as an Analyst at the University of Birmingham, where they worked on the IT Service Desk until 2014.
In the same year, they joined Illumina as a Bioinformatics Intern for three months before moving to Oxford Nanopore Technologies. At Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Amber held two roles, starting with Bioinformatician in November 2014. Amber worked in this position until May 2022. Following their role as a Bioinformatician, they transitioned to become a Python Engineer in September 2021.
