Angelos Molfetas

Angelos Molfetas has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in data engineering and analysis.

Angelos started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Western Sydney in 2006.

In 2009, they joined The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) as a Software Engineer and worked there until 2012.

Angelos then worked as a Computer Scientist at The University of Melbourne from 2012 to 2014.

In 2015, they joined Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd as a Data Engineer and progressed to the role of Senior Data Engineer in 2016.

From 2018 to 2020, they served as an Associate Director of Data Engineering at Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd, leading the data team responsible for data engineering, analysis, reporting, and machine learning across various units in the company.

As of November 2020, they hold the role of Associate Director - Data Engineering, Analysis and Reporting at Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd.

Angelos Molfetas completed their Bachelor of Commerce in Management from Western Sydney University from 1997 to 2001. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the same institution. Afterward, they continued their studies at Western Sydney University and obtained a Bachelor of Science Honours in Computer Science in 2002. Finally, Angelos Molfetas completed their education journey at Western Sydney University by obtaining a PhD in Computer Science from 2002 to 2006.
