Julie Collens

Julie Collens is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in commercial operations and market development within the life sciences sector. Currently serving as the VP of Commercial Operations for AMR at Oxford Nanopore Technologies since September 2023, Collens also holds a board member position at the Alzheimer's Association® for the San Diego and Imperial County Chapter. Prior to these roles, Collens founded and served as CEO of Vivid Genomics, Inc. from January 2018 to September 2023, and held various positions at Illumina from 2012 to 2018, including Associate Director of Complex Disease Market Development. Early career experience includes roles as an Equity Research Analyst at Robert W. Baird & Co. and as a Research Intern at Leerink Swann. Academic credentials include a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Plant Sciences from the University of Calgary.
