Phillip Butler

Phillip Butler has worked in a variety of roles over the past 14 years. In 2014, they were a Senior Engineer and Module Development Engineer at Oxford Photovoltaics Ltd. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Principal Scientist at BIG SOLAR LTD. In 2011, they were a Research Engineer at Plasma Quest Ltd, where they worked on thin film development and process optimization. That same year, they were also a Post-doctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford's Begbroke Science Park, where they worked on large area roll-to-roll DC and HiPIMS magnetron sputtering of novel transparent conducting oxides onto polymer web. Finally, from 2006 to 2011, they were a Technical Consultant at Oakdene Hollins Ltd, where they managed projects and conducted research for public and private sector clients.

Phillip Butler obtained a DPhil in Materials Science from the University of Oxford between 2007 and 2011. Prior to that, they earned a BA and MEng in Engineering from the University of Cambridge between 2002 and 2006.
