Thomas SEBASTIEN

Development Engineer at Oxford PV

Thomas SEBASTIEN has worked in a variety of roles in the field of engineering and photovoltaics. In 2014, they were a Development Engineer at Oxford Photovoltaics Ltd. From 2011 to 2014, they were an R&D Engineer at CEA/LITEN. In 2010, they were an Intern in the Thin-Film Photovoltaics Department at ECN, where they conducted R&D on interconnection processes of thin-film silicon photovoltaic cells, and characterized them with confocal microscopy and SEM. In 2009, they were an Intern in the Optoelectronics & Photovoltaics Unit at IM2NP. In 2008, they were an Intern in the Solar Team at Echange Afrique Insa, where they designed, optimized and implemented a photovoltaic system for a primary school in Togo, and supervised the training of the maintenance staff. In 2007, they were an Intern in the Microfluidics Unit at LEGI.

Thomas SEBASTIEN completed a University exchange program at Polytechnique Montréal from 2009 to 2010, specialising in Microfabrication, Biomicrosystems, Photovoltaic technology, and Energy/Environment. Thomas then went on to obtain an Engineering degree (Master's degree) at INSA (National Institute of Applied Sciences) Rennes in Materials Science and Nanotechnology from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a DUT: technical university degree (2-year course) at IUT Joseph Fourier Grenoble in Physical Measurements, specialised in Materials Science from 2005 to 2007.
