Michael Lawrence

Michael Lawrence has worked in a variety of roles over the past four decades. In 1978, they began their career at Jaguar Land Rover, where they held various roles in Product Development, including Director Special Vehicles and Business Director, Product Development. In 2005, they took on the role of Strategic Director Housing Health and Community at Oxford City Council. Michael then moved to Orbit Group in 2008, where they served as Non-Executive Director. In 2009, they became Head of Special Projects at Technology Strategy Board, responsible for Space innovation activities focusing on commercial exploitation of UK satellite technology and was the UK delegate to the European Space Agency Joint Communications Board. In 2012, they joined Magellium Limited as Managing Director. In 2014, they became Business Development Director at Deimos Space UK, and in 2018, they were appointed Head of Marketing and Sales at Telespazio VEGA UK. Most recently, in 2020, they became Business Development Director at Oxford Space Systems.

Michael Lawrence attended Loughborough University from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Queensbury School in Dunstable.
