Jonah McBride

Jonah McBride is an accomplished professional in the field of computer vision and software development, currently serving as the Director of Software at Oxipital AI since July 2018. In this role, Jonah leads the software team in developing components for mGripAI, a 3D vision industrial automation solution. Prior to this position, Jonah was a Senior Principal Computer Vision Engineer, focusing on vision systems for Soft Robotics automation solutions. At Rethink Robotics, from April 2015 to June 2018, Jonah held the position of Principal Vision Engineer, where responsibilities included developing vision capabilities for the Baxter and Sawyer robots. Jonah's career also includes significant tenure at Charles River Analytics as a Senior Scientist, where Jonah led system development in computer vision and contributed to various SBIR contracts. Jonah's early career includes roles as a Scientist and Associate Software Engineer, along with serving as a Research Assistant at Brown University, where research centered on computer vision and digital archaeology. Jonah holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Brown University.
