Robert Douthart

Robert Douthart is a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer at Soft Robotics Inc. since January 2021, with extensive experience in electrical engineering across various organizations. Prior to this, Robert held the position of Principal Electrical Engineer at Endeavor Robotics from December 2017 to December 2020, and served as Senior Staff Engineer at BD, specializing in Advanced Diabetes Care R&D from April 2015 to December 2017. As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Bluefin Robotics from June 2013 to April 2015, Robert played a pivotal role as the Technical Lead for the Knifefish AUV during initial sea trials. Additionally, Robert was the Lead Electrical Engineer at iRobot from August 2005 to April 2013, managing the design and development of the SUGV. Earlier career roles included Sr Electrical Engineer positions at RVSI, Granite Communications, Wang Laboratories, and GE, complemented by a degree from Roger Williams University obtained between 1977 and 1982.
