Leigh Thomas

Leigh Thomas is a Research Scientist and Lab Manager at Oxitec Ltd since March 2019, bringing extensive experience from a previous role as Senior Analyst at Alere Toxicology Plc from May 2010 to March 2019. At Alere, Leigh specialized in the preparation, analysis, and review of biological samples and data, adhering to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and UKAS accreditation standards for laboratory testing of oral fluid and hair. Proficient in ELISA, CEDIA/HEIA, data analysis, and method development, Leigh also possesses significant expertise in Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS). Leigh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Kent, completed in 2007.
