Travis Spangler has a diverse work experience that spans over several roles and companies. Starting in 1993, they began their career as an Intern at Dynamy Internship Program. From there, they worked as a Designer at Fujifilm USA from 1996 to 1998. In 1999, Travis joined Atlantic Records as a Designer before moving to Associates In Science as a Designer in 1999. Travis then worked as a Freelance Designer for various organizations including Time Warner Cable, Freedom House, and World Press Freedom Committee from 2001 to 2002. Travis became a Designer/Animator at VH1 in 2002 before transitioning to The Lifelong Friendship Society as a Founding Partner/Creative Director in 2004. Travis held this role until 2011 when they joined VH1 again, but this time as a Creative Director On-Air, Designer, and Animator. Travis remained at VH1 until 2017, during which they also established Say the Magic Words in 2017 as an archive of their design, illustration, animation, and direction work. Finally, in 2018, Travis became the Design Director at Oxygen Media.
Travis Spangler attended Purchase College, SUNY from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a B.F.A. degree in Design and Art History. Prior to that, in 1993, Travis briefly attended the Outward Bound School (Hurricane Island OBS) to gain knowledge in Team Leadership and Wilderness Survival, although no degree was specified for this program.
