James Dean

James Dean has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies and industries. James currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Oxygen8, a company focused on providing healthy and energy-efficient air solutions. James has been with Oxygen8 since 2020.

Prior to their role at Oxygen8, James served on the Board of Directors for Science World British Columbia from 2019 to 2020 and for the Home Ventilating Institute from 2015 to 2019.

Before their involvement in air-related industries, James was the CEO of CORE Energy Recovery Solutions from 2005 to 2019. At CORE, they led a team that offered a wide range of ventilation technologies for commercial and residential buildings.

Prior to CORE, James was the CEO of dPoint Technologies, a company specializing in heat and humidity exchangers for building energy recovery and fuel cell systems. James held this role from 2004 to 2016.

James also has experience in the field of fuel cell testing equipment as a Co-CEO of Greenlight Power from 2001 to 2004. James led the company's product development, sales, and manufacturing operations, catering to major clients such as Toyota, Nissan, GM, Plug Power, and UTC.

Before venturing into the private sector, James worked as a Partner at KPMG Consulting from 1995 to 2001.

James Dean completed their Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo from 1985 to 1990. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration at the Ivey Business School at Western University from 1993 to 1995.
