Melania Tejada Debora

Melania Tejada Debora is an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching and caregiving. Currently serving as a Spanish Teacher for the NYC Department of Education since August 2021, Melania has also worked as a Teaching Assistant for the DOE NYC since December 2006, where responsibilities included coordinating instructional efforts and preparing educational materials. Prior to these roles, Melania contributed as a Direct Care Worker at Sinergia Inc. from October 2000 to November 2005, helping individuals with daily activities and promoting independent living skills, and operated as a self-employed Group Family Day Care Provider from March 1997 to August 2005, focusing on children’s social and academic development. Melania holds an Associate in Arts in Education from Bronx Community College and a Child Development Associate from Lehman College.
