Irene Rodriguez Puig has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Irene began their career as a Trainee Psychologist at the Catalonia Firemen School under the Generalitat de Catalunya in 1997. Irene then worked as a Junior Human Resources Consultant at Barna Consulting Group from 1997 to 1999.
In 1999, Irene joined Citi as a Training and Development Officer, where they played a key role in the start-up and growth of the Barcelona Service Center. Irene managed the learning and professional development of the workforce, designed training programs, and evaluated their effectiveness. Irene later transitioned to the role of HR Business Partner and was responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, talent management, and compensation. Irene also led multiple migration projects to the Barcelona Service Center.
In 2011, Irene was promoted to Senior HR Business Partner at Citi, where they managed the HR Business Partners Team and focused on development, talent management, and compensation. Irene standardized and redesigned HR practices to align them with global standards.
In 2013, Irene became the Human Resources Head at the EMEA Shared Services Center of Citi. Irene served as an Executive Committee Member and Senior HR Business Partner, overseeing HR team management and driving strategic and functional accountability for HR processes. Irene successfully managed a comprehensive redundancy process during the closure of the Barcelona Shared Services Center.
In 2016, Irene joined IWG plc as the Human Resources Head of the EMEA Shared Services Center. Irene supported the center's growth to 300 employees over two years by implementing talent acquisition strategies.
Currently, Irene is the Vice President of People at Paack, a leading technology startup in the logistics sector. Irene is responsible for the company's people strategy and ensuring sustainable eCommerce deliveries in Europe. Paack is headquartered in Barcelona and operates across Spain, Portugal, France, and Italy.
Throughout their career, Irene has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and an ability to drive HR initiatives to support business objectives.
Irene Rodriguez Puig has a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, which they obtained from 2004 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Universitat de Barcelona, where they studied from 1992 to 1997. In 1996, they also received a Diploma in Social Sciences from the University of Glasgow. In terms of additional certifications, Irene is a certified #IamRemarkable Facilitator through the Google Initiative to empower underrepresented groups. Irene also holds a certification as a Facilitator for Managing at Citi Leadership Program and is certified on the Profilor 360° Assessment Tool. Furthermore, they have obtained an Occupational Hazards Certification at the Basic Level.
