Evan Zhao

Evan Zhao is a seasoned biotechnology executive with extensive experience in innovation and leadership. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Pacagen since March 2023, Evan focuses on developing biotechnology solutions for consumer issues, particularly in allergies. Previously, as Chief Science Officer at ODDITY LABS from March 2021 to August 2024, Evan was instrumental in building an advanced biotechnology laboratory and team, contributing to the company's IPO in July 2023. Additionally, Evan co-founded and led Revela, a company aimed at transforming the wellness industry. Evan's earlier roles include a Schmidt Science Fellow at the Wyss Institute and Postdoctoral Fellow, where work involved synthetic biology approaches. Academic credentials include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Caltech.
