Alex Swann, CCDS

Alex Swann, CCDS has a wealth of experience in the field of cardiac remote patient monitoring, product development, business analysis, and structural engineering. In 2020, Alex began working at PaceMate | Cardiac Remote Patient Monitoring in the role of PaceMate Operations. They were then promoted to Director | PaceMate Account Operations and Director | Product Development. From 2014 to 2020, Alex was employed at Medtronic as a Senior Technical Field Engineer (TFE) | Senior Micra Technical Expert (SrMTE), Technical Field Engineer (TFE) | Senior Micra Technical Expert (SrMTE), and CRHF Clinical Specialist | Micra Technical Expert (MTE). In 2014, Alex was a student at Arrhythmia Technologies Institute. From 2010 to 2014, Alex worked at Vinings Lake Church as a Finance and Strategy with decision level responsibility for organizational, staff leadership, budget and personnel decisions. From 2007 to 2008, Alex worked at John Portman & Associates as a Structural Designer for mixed use and high-rise buildings in Atlanta, San Diego, China and South Korea. In 2008, Alex worked at DIVERSAKORE as a Structural Engineer providing on-site guidance and review of VERSA:T composite beam product testing at the NC State University Constructed Facilities Laboratory. In 2006, Alex was a Structural Intern at Gilsanz Murray Steficek and a Research Assistant to Dr. Houssam Toutanji at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. In 2005, Alex was a Structural Intern at Hodnett and Hurst Structural Engineers. In 2003, Alex worked at Hickory Construction, Inc. in the role of Custom Residential Construction.

Alex Swann obtained a BA in Business and Organization Management from Maryville College in 2003. Alex then attended The University of Alabama in Huntsville, graduating in 2007 with a BS in Civil Engineering and obtaining an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification from the National Council of Examineers for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). In 2013, Alex attended ASCEND Public Speaker Training. In 2014, they attended Arrhythmia Technologies Institute for Cardiac Rhythm Management and Electrophysiology. In 2017, Alex obtained a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) certification from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners. In 2019, they attended Integrity Selling Sales Training. Alex is currently working towards a Service Hub Software certification from HubSpot Academy, which they are expected to obtain in 2022.
