Julie Yao is an experienced research professional currently serving as an Associate Research Scientist at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation since September 2010. Prior to this role, Julie Yao worked as a Senior Marketing Analyst at Merkle for a brief period in 2010 and as a Consultant at Oliver Wyman from 2007 to 2009, where engagement included various global marketing and brand strategy consulting projects for Fortune 500 clients. Notably, Julie Yao contributed to a marketing ROI project for a leading Hollywood movie studio, developing statistical models to predict DVD sales and optimize media spending. Julie Yao holds a PhD and a Master's degree from The Ohio State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University.
