Previously, John served as an Environmental Planner, specializing in archaeology, at Caltrans District 4 from 1985 to 1989. John's academic background includes a Master of Arts in Geography, Anthropology, and Cultural Resource Management from Sonoma State University, earned between 1980 and 1989.
