José L. Marrero Rosado

José L. Marrero Rosado is an accomplished osteologist at Pacific Legacy, Inc. since October 2022 and a PhD candidate at Agarwal Skeletal Biology Research Lab since August 2017. José has been recognized as a GRFP Fellow by the National Science Foundation since June 2019. As a graduate student representative for the Graduate Council of the University of California, Berkeley from August 2020 to May 2023, José contributed to administrative and program review functions. Previous roles include field archaeologist at Sierra Forensic Inc. and data analyst at the Puerto Rico Department of Health, where contributions were made to COVID-19 data analysis. Engagement in governance occurred as an elected delegate for the UC Berkeley Graduate Assembly and as a judicial council member with the Associated Students of the University of California. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, and dual bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry and Anthropology from Syracuse University.
