Rebecca Kenney

Coordinator HECC Grant / Girls Build at Pacific Northwest Carpenters Institute

Rebecca "Doc" Kenney, Ph.D., has a diverse background in both education and construction, currently serving as the Coordinator for the HECC Grant and the Girls Build program at the Pacific Northwest Carpenters Institute. Previous experience includes roles as a Journeyman Carpenter at ANDERSEN STRUCTURES LLC and as Director of Operations at VanirTG (VTG, LLC), which specializes in engineering solutions for the semiconductor industry. Kenney has also held significant positions in construction project management as a Field Engineer at Skanska and a Carpenter Apprentice at Hoffman Construction Company. In academia, Kenney has served in various leadership roles, including Interim Executive Dean of Instruction & Community Partnerships at Seattle Colleges and Vice President of Instruction at Renton Technical College, demonstrating a strong commitment to educational leadership and accreditation standards. Kenney holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Oregon State University, along with a master's degree in Education and a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Washington.
